Why wouldn't you tune your software to be able to read everything? Why limit
yourself to US-ASCII only?

Didn't seem like it when you quoted it back and changed the original text to

I don't expect most people to. However, there have been some that became
interested, so I helped them to achieve their goal.

The only problems occur when you quote it back and distort the original text.
If you can't quote it properly, don't quote it.

I never said to stop complaining about the text if you don't like it. I just
said don't quote it if your editor is not capable of quoting it back in it's
original form. Because that's where the problems you speak of start. Altering
original text is a no-no.
