Only when they're using ASCII only characters. As soon as block/line drawing
occurs, it changes. As soon as someone uses an umlaut, it changes, etc.

However, you complain to others about posting in another language, yet when you
reply you quote it. Was it to show your software didn't translate it properly?

Actually, that has bee my tagline for almost a year now. So no, I didn't go out
of my way to post it. While using this tagline, some people changed their
setups specifically so they could read it. So I guess you could call it
promoting UTF-8.

My point is, if you're going to mangle it when you quote it, just don't quote
it.
