MS's relationship to "customers" reminds me a lot of gov
departments relationship to their "customers". i.e. "let's
use the word customer to give the impression that we're at their service
but hey it's a bit of a fiction...."
However I think that point is approaching & it will be either Vista or
it's sucessor which is the tipping point.
Mac is now on intel & Linux is frankly getting not just "good
enough" but in many ways "better than" (esp in a broadband
world where each distro repo has just about any app you could wish for for
free just waiting to be picked in the install manager).
& that's before you get onto the google/web apps / network is the
computer pov/argument.
