That's about right. Technically [forgive the nit- picking!] it is the stored
energy that increases at each charge/ discharge cycle of a new battery. Peak
power is a tricky concept, best thought of in terms of engine starting under
frozen conditions.
Peak power is delivered [believe me!] when the load resistance equals the
internal resistance of the battery, depressing the terminal volts by 50%.
This is no way to treat a favourite battery but it is a statement of fact.
Don't anyone please debate this on Echo, but check if puzzled with any
electrical or radio designer, or someone immersed in Circuit Theory which I
