That is a very broad generalization. If that has been your
experience with your HMO it would be my first suggestion to switch to

The patient bears a considerable level of responsibility for their
own care. If anyone blindly accepts what a doctor says merely
because they have MD after their names then they probably deserve the
treatment they receive.
