When you have loaded M$ Himem.sys (without emm386) your computer is in "Big
Real Mode". I don't say that Himem.sys makes use of Big Real to provide
XMS-memory, because when you have also loaded emm386 to emulate EMS, this
Big Real Mode is gone.
So, maybe it is a bug in Himem.sys that it leaves by accident your computer
in Big Real Mode. But because of this 'bug' many people think that
Himem.sys uses Big Real Mode to provide XMS-memory.
I am not sure of all this, so if someone have corrections I'll like to hear
them :-)
