Hi, Lee Lofaso!
I read your message from 26.06.2017 23:08
LL> "The Government of Ukraine prevents foreigners, including U.S.
LL> citizens, who enter Crimea directly from any country other than
LL> Ukraine, from entering mainland Ukraine."
LL> Since Ukraine does not allow foreigners to travel to Crimea, it
LL> would be an illegal act for those who are not from Ukraine to
LL> travel there. So tell me, how do those "tourists" manage to enter
LL> Crimea?
For a while there is no need for a visa to travel from Russia to Urkaine
and back. Hundreds of thousands of the Ukrainian travel into Crimea as
tourists, as well as millions of people from Russia. As for foreigners
they can go to Crimea only through Russia.
ak>> It happened because few green men prevented the Ukrainian troops
ak>> from making Crimea into a bloody Civil war battle field, a crazy
ak>> situation that is now in eastern Ukraine.
LL> Crimea, and all of Ukraine, was a very peaceful place just a few
LL> short years ago. But somebody came along to upset the apple cart.
LL> The problem now is how to get all sides to settle down and come to
LL> a peaceable solution.
It is a strange war. Millions of the Ukrainian have still been going to
Russia for work; people from Russia travel to Ukraine and opposite. Even
the civil people from "terrorists occupied" eastern territories can go
into Kiev's held areas and back through checkpoints. There is still
trade between Russia and Ukraine, Russia supplies Ukraine with a lot of
electricity, oil, natural gas, accepts spent fuel from the Ukrainian
atomic stations.
The problems is that the present Kiev authority is not capable to
compromise with the rebel regions. All they want is an unconditional
surrender and making the Russian people forget they are the Russian.
There is a crazy idea that Ukraine is a monolithic, unilateral country
inhabited by the Ukrainian.
Bye, Lee!
