Hi Ben

I started testing CUTCP (Clarkson UUniversity) ftp client that came
bundled to Arachne v1.4 and above.
The results where dissapointing.
On my 486 DLC 40 Mhz with 28.8k modem I got almost 10 cps speed.
On my son's P166 with 33.6k modem I got 1700 cps speed.

Then I swapped to wattcp package (ftp07)
Eureka
On my DLC 486 I got 2850 cps close to BBS speed of 3220 cps
On the P166 I got 3380 cps  close to BBS speed of 3700 cps.

Incidentally yesterday I downloaded cc32e45.exe (Netscape 4.5) 14961000
in about 72 minutes at an average of 3360 cps.
