 Carswell has factory building F-16s across the main runway.
 I believe that production is still going on there. But there
 has been so many changes, mergers and such I do not know
 where the F-16 is made now.
 I went there in 1958 with the first B-52Fs and retired from
 there in 1966 after we cam back from Arclight just prior
 to Xmas 1965.... I have heard of one case where a grandson
 of one of the pilots is now flying B-52s.   :)
 Carswell was not the BEST duty... But it sure beat B-52
 duty like Loring, K.I. Sawyer, Minot, Kinchloe, etc......
 The 9th BS, 7th Bomb Wing is now flying B-1Bs at Abilene
 which was due to close in B-47 days, about 1962... Their
 final callsign was FIGMO Control...
