I recall having to patch the FD files, but its probally been 10 years so I 
don't remember if I had to uncompress the .exe files (using UNP) or not,
or which tool I used to patch them.

Did you check to see if the latest version of FrontDoor on the DefSol web
site still requires a patch or not?  I would be surprised if they did not 
release a fix by now.
