Different strokes for different folks. I have a 400mm lens for the 35mm
and it has had usage at the most 10 times over the 40 years or so I've
owned it. It was the basis for my buying the Nikon TTL metering system
though. Trying to get close ups and after wasting a ton of film on
wrong exposure compensation calculations using a slide rule, I decided
the TTL metering system was the greatest thing ever invented.
