* EleBBS Support List

I cheated. I created a logon script for a specific linux user. So when
the user "BBS" with password "BBS" logs in. it will
launch the elebbs

my ".profile" file is as follows.

my bbs core files are stored in /home/bbs

#!/bin/sh
        #
        # Sample .profile
        #
./startbbs.sh
logout
exit

hope that helps. You don't use the telnet server for elebbs in linux.
You use the built in telnetd thats been around forever. Telnet is VERY
insecure by default. Slackware is aimed at security. You will have to
install and configure telnetd BEFORE you do this. Otherwise your
users will only be able to logon with SSH (encrypted telnet basicaly).

you can see how it works at

telnet:// or ssh://bbs.doteltech.com
