Wayne Green?
I know who he is Roy,but he has never been here during one of our famous
winter ice-storms for freezing rain and ice pellets has he?
I think most of his "theories" are a little far out in left field myself.
But then the local weatherman is also out in left field with some of his
forecasts as well so maybe they are related?
So far this storm has cost some people more money than they had to their
names in savings just spent to survive it.
Generators cost normally around $600-800 depending on their rated output, and
during the storm some were going for as much as $1500 each for the same
output.
Firewood and kerosene also had high prices slapped on them by greedy people.
But lucky for all that the generous people were far more numerous than the
greedy people.
As of today there are still some people in the Montreal area STILL without
any
hydro as of this week and they may not get any 'till the end of the month.
I hope we never have to go thru anything like this again, but at least the
next time we will be ready for it.
