From the standpoint of the user, it makes no difference how it is
implemented. You are right, NewWave is a shell on top of Windows on top of
the standard DOS file system; but functionally it acts like an
object-oriented file system.
Down at the bottom, they're all just magnetic patterns on round, brown,
spinning things.
