Others on this echo have told me that it is possible to use a tuner on a
dipole. Among the simples of suggestions was to put a tuning coil, a
vari-loopstick, or a 60pFd variable capaciter between the antenna feed and
the ground. Of course, the best, most scientific way to tune a dipole is to
adjust it's length to match the freq you're trying to catch.
