Actually, the firstconsideration should be the sizeof the room.
250W is fine in an enclosed smaller party room, for you should run at half
power out max inorder to keep your head room.
Out of doors, you'l lose a lot of sound to the open air.
I would suggest a smaller board of 50 watts or maybe less then hook
in to a theater type power amp of about 500 watts. This will give you great
quality and even a neat "texture" sound. But, in your gigs, make sure you
aren't gonna bounce your sound off live walls and such.
And too! Remember that people in a room are also sound absorbers.
Setting sound in an empty room will not be enough when the room is at
capacity.
