If they are 24K coins, they are worth at least the market price of gold,
which, right now is somewhere around $680 per ounce US.  If the coins are
24k and have collectible value they can be worth much more, depending on
how rare they are, the condition of the coins, etc.

Gold is collectible in either case, because it is a rare commodity
recognized world-wide as a valuable currency. It will only become more
valuable as inflation and poor economies increase.
