If that is the case, then things have improved at the sourceforge site
since earlier this summer.  I know I saw a note about a planned upgrade,
and a delayed implmentation....  I just haven't had the opportunity to
"test" it since seeing the later notices....

Ah....  Or maybe older GCC's....  Don't remember which version (of GCC)
I've got running on my Linux box.....  Shall see what happens when I
finally update to the current CVS source.....

Did the library issue that cause the telnet port code crash get fixed in
the CVS archives yet?
