Interesting.  Sounds like when you tore it down and put it back together, you 
pinched a wire somewhere.  You didn't know it until you applied the juice to 
it, via the ignition switch.  I'm sure Mitchell has a web site, but couldn't 
tell you where.

Usually the case.  You might try a university library. One that has an 
automotive shop...
