I used XP Pro/SP2 to run whoami to show the (O) for disabled. File
whoami.exe is in folder C:\Program Files\Support Tools\, and is version
5.1.2600.0.
So, I assume I installed the Support Tools from the XP Pro CD, a long time
ago. Now that you mention it, I was wondering why some other systems show
whoami in the format you gave ("Disabled" instead of
"(O)").
I guess I'm supposed to replace Support Tools with the version from the XP
SP2 CD. I don't think I'm confused enough to have installed the Windows
2000 Support Tools on this XP box?? Anyway, I'm not worried about that.
I'm going to reply again concerning the more substantive issue.
John
