Indeed? Hmmm.. I would've thought they'd use a Intrepid Class ship
for that movie (like the Voyager) BUT they can't have such a small
ship for the Flagship of the fleet, now can they? I meant small
in the respect that a Soverign Class StarShip is pretty big
when put up against the Defiant or most other ships in the fleet.
But that is quite a few decks! Roomy enough for any Borg to take up
residence in comfortably. One thing they learned from the Galaxy Class
design was that a saucer section couldn't clear its mooring clamps
quick enough to escape a warp core breach (Generations). One thing that
eludes me though, why didn't they eject the core when they knew it was
going to breach? That has been a question in the back of my mind for
almost 3 years. I never heard a reason for them not ejecting the core.
And I have watched the movie several times. But then again, this is
STAR TREK. No ship has ever lasted that long in the fleet. 7 years?
That is unheard of where I am from!
