BTW did you feel the big quake or hear of abnormally strong waves
reaching to the north coast area?

I heard the quake had the power of 1 million Hiroshima A-bombs. It was
so powerful that it has affected the Earth's rotation by speeding it
up 1 million'th of a second, changing the axial tilt slightly
(2 thousanth's of an arcsecond), and leaving it with a new wobble.

The human tragedy is a real horror. At first reports were of 12,000
dead but now it is headed for 120,000. I sadly suspect it may even
reach a 1/2 million. Then there is the injured and the people being
displaced by the destruction of homes and land. All these will
probably total in the 10's of millions. What do you think?
