CTN are contacting the Department of Communications and the Arts about an
apparent decline in the "standard telephone service". Telstra's
testing staff no longer work around the clock, so that although there is
"24 hour fault reporting" as required in the standard telephone
service definition there is not 24 hour fault diagnosis. Too bad if your
line was incorrectly disconnected out of hours.
