Actually, the old Disney Village Marketplace is still there, on the
opposite side of Pleasure Island from Downtown Disney's Westside, which
is what you described.  "Downtown Disney" now consists of three areas:
Westside, Pleasure Island, and the Marketplace.
That said, the Marketplace is being almost totally redone.  The World of
Disney store is the biggest change, but almost every other shop is
changing location and size in a giant game of musical chairs.  The
Rainforest Cafe has been added, Minnie Mia's is now a Puck Express, and
construction is under weigh on Legoland and a McDonalds.
I'd say more, but I haven't been there in almost a week, and things are
changing rapidly!
