By convention, it's against international law to use an artillery piece
against personnel. Now you can depress the muzzle, load a beehive round, and
flatten 5 acres of standing vegetation but the personnel hidden there are
considered "collateral damage". :-) I think I remember seeing something
about a .50 caliber gun coming under the same heading so, to be "legal", you
have to shooting the enemy's =equipment= rather than at the person. Sorta
like, "well, I saw an enemy trooper coming towards me with a radio pack so I
took out the radio...from the front." :-)
