It's an access point (D-link cheap-o summat) to my ADSL modem (ZyXel
Prestige 600 if I remember correctly). I *think* it's the computer side
that's dropping the connection, but, alas, without another computer at hand
I can't be sure just now.

Gotta try that. It just dawned on me that there are quite a few wlan's in
the same building, and probably half of them use the same gear (being
cheap) with the same default settings, so there could be something there.

Wireless phones are very rare here, I don't think I've seen one in ten
years or so. How far might a microwave cause interference from?
