The main thing just now is RJT> that I don't have either a monitor or a keyboard hooked up to that box, RJT> so if we do lose power it's going to be a bit of a PITA to deal RJT> with... I recommend CMOSSAV, CMOSCHK and CMOSREST, that save the CMOS settings to a disk file, check the settings against the disk file, and restore the settings from that disk file. Look for CMOSSV27.ZIP. I think I downloaded it from my local BBS. There are other utilities for saving and restoring the CMOS, but this is the best one I've found. It also is the only one that can check the CMOS against the saved file. You _might_ find it on Timo Salmi's University of Vaasa software download site http://garbo.uwasa.fi/ otherwise there are other DOS software sites that might have it. It would be worthwhile putting these utilities on a boot floppy with the file of the saved config, and setting up the AUTOEXEC.BAT to call them on boot up, so it will all be there when the hard disk crashes. ,-./\ / \ From Greg Mayman, in beautiful Adelaide, South Australia \_,-*_/ "Queen City of The South" 34:55 S 138:36 E v ...
