I recently downloaded the latest (Jan 95) FlashRom and loaded it into the modem.

This new "upgraded" ROM displays some of the "problems"
people spoke of; it doesn't connect at as higher speed in V.FC as it used
to, and it drops the line partway through the call with ONE Maestro.

For a couple of days, the connect with my host didn't exceed 24,000 (it
used to be 28,800 most of the time) although the last 3 have been at 28,800

I think I will downgrade to the original image if I can find  it - it
didn't display these problems.
