| subject: | P-38 / P-1 Grain Safety? |
DA>ML> I have never had a .38 snub that shot anywhere near point of aim, DA>ML> altho at the range I would use it at it's going to be "point and DA>ML> pull" rather than aim. DA>I don't know about .38, but a friend of mine let me try out his Model 60 DA>(.357 magnum) at the range and I didn't have any problem shooting a DA>grapefruit sized group at fifty feet. It was about three inches high, DA>but I'd call that close enough for a self-defense weapon. Depends on the range of course, but my father-in-law's Colt Detective Special does pretty well. I only fired 2 rounds of Hydrashok from it, he fired the other 3, (+p rounds, I didn't want to stress the frame) but they printed where I was aiming. At least mine did. Dad managed to hit the paper at 21 feet. My mother in law shot much better than he did. :-) þ SLMR 2.0 þ It is completely unimportant. That's why it's interesting * LAKOTA v1.5 --- Alexi/Mail 2.02 (#10000) CF>MB>Critics of the Civilian Marksmanship Program should get things right, CF>MB>too. CF>MB>The CMP program teaches safety and responsibility while grooming CF>MB>America's youth to be Olympic champions. In fact, in the last Olympic CF>MB>games, 9 out of 10 of our American shooters, who brought home one gold CF>MB>medal and one silver, were CMP participants. CF>I hear some country is try to get that banned from the olympics.. New Jersey? þ SLMR 2.0 þ It's not "gun control"...it's "victim disarmament"! * LAKOTA v1.5 --- Alexi/Mail 2.02 (#10000) ---------------* Origin: -= N I G H T L I N E =- Home Of GameNet '95 (1:115/815) * Origin: -= N I G H T L I N E =- Home Of GameNet '95 (1:115/815) |
