->Well, I think ML has a pretty good grasp as to what's going
->on... it's the ownership that, three years ago, refused to
->envision the imminent dangers that lay ahead....
ML has no f*cking clue what is going on. I don't know if you caught it, but
I sent a message to someone else about an article I had read in a magazine..
in it, ML was asked to give his team a report card for the upcoming season.
He claimed the Celtics were going to improve on last years record. He
didn't see a major problem at center, considered his backcourt to be one of
the best in the league, and foresaw big things in this teams future. Does
this sound like someone who has a grasp on what's going on??
->Lousy draft picks -
->
->Len Bias, Michael (who?) Smith, Eric Montross, Jon Barry,
->and now it looks like Eric Williams is struggling...
Bias was just bad luck.. dying like that.. Montross could have been (and
still might be) a really solid center, if he had received more than 10
minutes a game from (Guess who?) ML Carr.. who chose to play "OUt of
service" Pervis Ellison for about 30 mins a game. Thank God he dropped a
table on his toe this season :) Montross's shooting was always 4-5, 5-6,
3-4, etc.. if ML had worked him into the teams offensive plan..
The other three can't really be defended, except to say that every team
makes mistakes :) But Antoine Walker is looking like a serious catch.
Keep in mind ML has put a lot of the responsibility on himself by taking
over as GM *AND* coach.. I would compare this to Tzar Nicholas's decision
to command the poorly trained and badly equipped Russain troops in the First
world war.. this lead predictably to a furthur loss in popularity and his
eventual downfall.. I can't help but forsee the same for ML :)
