GC> Is it possible to receive European satellite broadcasts
 (particularly
 GC> BBC/ITV/Ch 4/Ch 5 and others) in North America?

-WS> That depends on how far east you are.
GC> I'd appreciate details. Ya can't get much further east than
GC> here (Massachusetts, on the coast).
Well, there's Maine...but remember the further east your dish looks, the
more atmosphere it has to look through...(same with west) and the ocean has
a lot of opportunities to block or weaken signals.
Unfortunately, I no longer work for a satellite company so I can't look up
the "footprint" of the british satellites. I can only assume the signal is
spread in a way so ome access is possible. I hope you have a large
dish...10-15 foot
