Thanks for the information, Bernard. In the past, I've used assorted lengths of copper wire for my antennas. Back in the 1960s, I had a 150 foot wire strung out in all directions for my Hallicrafters S38E. But, RTTY and FAX signals seem to do better with a long wire than with an active antenna like I am using now. Your info does help.
