Aye!  That be me.  I shudder to think there may be another Gerald Miller 
lurking in that echo.  Of course, "All things are possible."

And you didn't try using the same program on COMMAND.COM?  I'm truly 
surprised at you.  This is another one of those times when I can't lay my 
hands on the document file when I want it, so I hope my memory will hold up.  
I **believe**, when I looked at that program (and a few others like it), the 
recommendation was that the program should NOT BE USED on command processors, 
self modifying executables and executable files that operated with overlay 
files (and maybe a few other exceptions).  I bought several versions of 
Stacker and did entire disk drives.  When the prices of hard drives came down 
to the level that made them affordable, I purchased a 4.2 gig and banished 
Stacker (except it works great on my RAM disk), compressed executable files 
and other like acts of magic.  It just isn't worth the time and possible 
aggravations to be messing with that sort of stuff anymore.
