I use Ztree about 3/4's of the time for disk and file management myself. I
have specialized explorer context menu entries that allow me to right click
any file, folder, or root drive and select Ztree Here and Ztree opens
instantly to that directory/folder. I have it set to just log the
directory to be opened and the root so Ztree loads almost instantly. I can
then use Ztree for manipulation in that directory open an editor, compare
two files, etc.
I'll be interested to know if stopping the Media Change Notice service or
any of the other things I have done stops the USB stick autorun problem you
have described.
