If checkdisk can't or won't correct this problem, you can look at DFsee,
from the DFSee doc file:

fixcp           = Update superblock with found LSN for codepage info

and DFsee can show copepage info and codepage data (don't know what the
difference between these two is, they both named in the dfsee doc file)

FIXCP           = Write the CodePage-LSN found with the '0#f c' command back

Purpose:       Fix bad CodePage-LSN pointer
Parameters:    none
Output:        none
Remarks:       It is better to lock the physical disk before writing to it

DFsee can be found at http://www.fsys.demon.nl and it's freeware.
