You know, nano IS my jam... and I KNOW what vim/vi is very powerful (although
only if you know what you're doing/implement add-ins, etc...) but VIM is the
one I can't seem to understand why folks gravitate to..

I think its because I've never given it the time and/or never learned it past
just knowing how to load/save/exit... but someone who uses it, WHY is it so
powerful??

I've watched youtube videos with guys showing how to do MUCH MORE than just
edit text files in VIM; although even tho they were explaining it to me, I
didn't understand after the first few minutes! 

Why do you love VIM?
