are refurbished units out of the question? at one time, i located some
refurbed compaq p90 notebooks with 24meg of ram and a 850 hd in them... i
only ordered one at that time and it arrived with nothing additional... no
manuals, no software, no nothing... i had to install DOS v6.22 and laplink
to get win95 onto it... it has a nice color display and a sound system
built right in... i'm thinking that i paid only about $750US - $800US for
it... it's a LTE5100 according to the labels on it... i can get a cdrom
drive for it also but haven't done so as of yet...
