Odd. I seem to be getting more 31k2 and 33k6 connects with the V.90 upgrade
SDL than I saw before.

Yep. The box around the stats is drawn in hi-ASCII. However, the last
couple of lines did show the ROM version -- SuperVisor dated 03/13/98, DSP
dated 03/13/98. Did you manage to miss them? If so, I've reposted that
segment of the stats screen at the end of this message. The weather here has
been great, one of the few years that my rugrats have not missed baseball
games due to the rain.
As for charmless? I've gotten very tired of your harping on USR/3Com in damn
near every Fidonet echo and Internet newsgroup I've seen you post in while
making it obvious that you are insufficiently concerned to take the time to
obtain more than the most superficial knowledge about USR/3Com modems. I
feel under no obligation to treat you as other than what you portray yourself
as.
As an example of your typical posting style, I simply need to look at your
comments about Rockwell chipset modems that were shipped with K56Flex and
flashROMs not being upgradeable to V.90 without losing K56Flex. A more
disingenuous statement would be difficult to locate. Even Rockwell supplies
the information that Rockwell chipset modems with 1 megabit flashROMs lack
sufficient space to hold both the K56Flex and V.90 code. A trifle surprising
in light of claims that the vast majority of V.90 is based on K56Flex but
life is full of those little surprises.
