But the same people who chase murderers don't look for people's pets!
(Might be better if they did!)  As for chasing druggies, where I live
EVERYBODY with a badge is running around looking to make a big bust on
DRUGS, but there aint ANYBODY looking for all the household goods that
get ripped off in burglaries every day.  IF they catch a burglar it's an
accident, and they never EVER return guns or things like that that are
stolen and recovered. (You 'Might' get your cell phone back....)

The criminal mentality is universal. But, we're so overburdened with
drugs and drug smugglers there's no time to protect the individuals or
their property. IF they catch the burglars who stole the breeder's birds
it'll probably be because they were suspects in drug smuggling.  That's
the ONLY reason they ever catch parrot smugglers these days, looking for
drugs.  Now, if they'd only let us SHOOT burglars when we caught them
burgling, It'd take at least ONE of their problems away..... and they'd
have time to roust a few more drug lords for their mordida.  (Watch THAT
get me in trouble! BUT, our county Sheriff is doing time in a Federal
prison for aiding and abetting criminal drug activities!  Don't that
instill confidence?)
