Hi Ward, You "assumed" that I just obtained a certificate by some 'easy' method. You forget that I have a considerable education, as well as extensive training afforded to me by my employer. About half of my training has been subcontracted to civilians, but "all" of my medical training was subcontracted. For instance, I am a qualified and certified emergency medical technician by the Red Cross, recertified (trained) by Sentara hospital in Virginia Beach where I used to volunteer as an EMT. Previously I had obtained that certification by the Red Cross at FT. Clayton in the Republic of Panama, where I also received my professional councilor certification. I also got requalified (periodic certifications are required) here in VB at Sentara. The original qualification took 2 years (full time) plus 30 credits in psychology. This was required for two different positions I held. I do not council people anymore because I really don't enjoy it, and I wouldn't make an exception with Michiel either. I also don't carry the required insurance, nor am I sponsored for that specific job. THAT is why I asked him to go seek help elsewhere. > Email, netmail, echomail and the likes are not exactly suited to analyse > someone else's state of mind nor to base a qualified medical opinion on. Damn, you don't read that well do you.... THIS is why I suggested he go seek a professional opinion from an MD or psychologist (or clergy, many of whom are also licensed). > Besides, what makes you qualified overthere is not by definition what > makes you > qualified overhere. I'm here, you're there, Michiel is in The Netherlands, who cares? I stated my opinion here, -- and that's pretty apparent. > Such a counselor (sp!) overhere would be called 'Sociaal Assistent' > translating > as 'Social Assistant'. It takes 3 years full-time schooling and at least 1 > or 2 > years internships to learn the trade. Hardly anything that one learns in a > 30 > or 60 or 90 hour course for which you then get a certificate. See above. > I've got boxes full of certificates, some even issued by the UN ... big > deal! Well there you have it.... The UN? What a useless organization.... The fact is, Michiel has a "HATE" issue, and that's apparent. When I'm in an echo, he goes on the attack. It doesn't take a frigging PHD to figure out that the guy has some issues...... Use your eyes to read his messages, and your noodle to understand them.
