What I meant by that was that my modem DOES register the 201 function.  And, 
if I set my S191 low enough, the display even shows 31 (for 31,000bps), but 
is absolutely worthless in this mode.  S191=126 (and as low as 124) seems to 
do about as good as can be expected.
As long as I get 3000+ cps Xfers, I couldn't care less if it said 28, 31, 26, 
or 24.  the LED display don't mean nuthin' to me... it's the cps that counts!
