I, too, have seen this on a couple of different Net Lists about those
stolen birds. You are right, this is so very sad.
I have almost been in the same situation before, where someone came to
look at my stock, only to find out later that he had been in jail for
theft of birds before. Thank-God that my fellow bird friends knew this
guy and warned me about him, for I guess he had been casing out a few
others in our town also. Just goes to show you, that you cannot trust
anyone like you would like in this hobby. Now, this guy has an add in
the paper all the time saying that he wants birds. We have all stayed
clear of him, but it sure does put a damper on advertising yourself.
I couldn't agree with you more on the long wait and the bands being
taken off. Those poor birds and the stress that they must be under, not
too mention the owners! My heart and prayers go out to them all.
... how young can you be and still die of old age???
