When I went to XP it was to new hardware..it has been more solid for me
than 2k on the old hardware. It will bluescreen in a heartbeat when I try
to install my Logitech QuickCam (prez here wanted to have visuals of branch
office). I got it running, it worked for a few weeks, now it bluescreens
again. Gotta call that IT guy...dang, that's me.

I don't have significant problems with supporting it here at the office
although we have had a couple of maybe year old machines become unreliable
after upgrading them. They also spontaneously rebooted and often.

I've had good experiences with the server products, from NT to 2000 to 2003.
