   I wanted to make one small comment on this point.  The support for EMX
is outstanding.  There is a mailing list (on the Internet) on which the
author as well as other very knowledeable people answer questions about
EMX.  Also, if you submit a bug report to the author, a fix to the compiler
will be forthcoming and available for FTP (unlike most commercial
compilers).
