Exactly the same thing I just asked about. So I'll tell you all I know.
New cd and start of tour expected (possibly guarenteed?) within (not before) 
1998. The offer to Roger Waters by David Gilmour was only to tour with them. 
Nothing was mentioned about recording on the album with them, and as far as 
I've heard he(Waters) has yet to give a definite answer.
Syd Barrett come back? ... I'd have to say that's _beyond_ wishful thinking.
