Hi Bob, BL> Talk, talk, talk... Dieter got a result I can see on my CRO. BV> I thought you wanted to be able to send it out faster. Oh well, BV> you can go and fuck yourself. What does that look like on the CRO ? BL> I don't know. I haven't tried to fuck myself on the CRO. I guess the waveform would be interesting if nothing else :) BL> Whatever I do, I'm going to need a clock at the right baud rate BL> to read it into a register or something. BV> If it's async then what the fuck has a clock got to do with it ? BL> How can I clock it into a register without a clock? Well, if you are going to run a synchronous signal then how the fuck are you going to send the clock ? IA synchronous signal would be in-sync with the clock 'coz that's what a synchronous signal is. If you don't send a clock then you must be sending an a-sync signal in which case the clock rate is going to be important. With a proper sync signal you can drift a bit so long as the clock drifts as well. BL> And how do you fuck a clock? I'm not sure, but I think it involves little feathered birds. BL> I've fucked people who didn't have the time, though. Why do I believe that part :) Cheers, Brenton @EOT: ---* Origin: TestPoint (3:711/934.7) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
