I'll be happy to reply while I still have access to Fido. My isp
provides 23 or so rec.aviation newsgroups-- aerobatics thru ultra-
light. Check your provider's list. There are probably more that
could added if available.  I look at rec.avaiation.military. and
rec.avaition.military.navel. I also notice there is an alt.
aviation.fun, can.aviation.misc, sci.aeronautics.airlines  but
I've never looked at these.
There are probably Europen news groups available there that we do
not get here.
