'Sightings of UFO's reported at Los Alamos and Oak Ridge, at a time
when the background radiation count had risen inexplicably. Here we run out 
of 
even "blue yonder" explanations that might be tenable. and, we still are left 
with numbers of incredible reports from credible observers.'
CIA Memorandum for the Director of Central Intelligence (CIA) entitled Flying 
Saucers from Assistant Director of Scientific Intelligence, H. Marshall 
Chadwell. Dated 24th September 1952
'10.  Additional research, differing in character and emphasis
from that presently being performed by Air Force, will be required
to meet the specific needs of both operations and intelligence.
Intelligence responsibilities in this field as regards both collection
and analysis can be discharged with maximum effectiveness only after
much more is known regarding the exact nature of these phenomena.'
'11.  I consider this problem to be of such importance that it
should be brought to the attention of the National Security Council
in order that a community-wide coordinated effort towards its solution
may be initiated.'
This bunch of documents it extremely interesting to read.  Scientific 
powerhouses such as John A Wheeler and Dr. Max Millikan had been briefed and 
invited to attend governmental think tanks on the flying disc problem.   Why 
would the Director of Central Intelligence have so many (at least 3 in this 
total of 30 documents) memorandums describing the current situation of flying 
disc developments such as various film analysis of official sightings (non 
civilian) and civilian sightings.  The entire read provides an atmosphere of 
serious interest in the subject, however the is a no much talk of the ET 
hypothesis (could be due to the fact that these docs were released under FOIA 
requests, remember they were all once classified).   However, we do know that 
government agencies admit that these objects are constructed (polished 
metalic. 
Etc) and display intelligent maneuvers far beyond known human technology 
(there 
is an actual document amongst the 30, which investigates the hypothesis that 
a 
Ultra Secret program (above CIA observation) is producing these objects, it 
was 
found to be highly unlikely due to questioning of high level sources and 
actions 
like the USAF's instruction to pursuit these objects, and the objects 
dangerous 
flights into established flight zones.
