     Yes --- find someone, somewhere, prefably nearby to you, that grinds
the tires to make "crumb rubber".  The rubber from the tires in this form
can be re-used for a growing number of purposes.  The metal that comes from
the belts can be recycled at the neighborhood smelter.
     The last I heard there is a crumb rubber operation in Mexia (pronounced
ma-HEY-ya), Texas.
