Between the information that Andrew posted for me and a lot of trial and error, I managed to get things working. The hardest thing was the flow control -- I'm still not sure whether I got it working or not. Also, I had some trouble setting and disabling DTR (via ASYNC_SETMODEMCTRL). I could turn it OFF, but I could not seem to turn it back ON again. My application ended up only needing the capability to turn it off, so I was alright, but nevertheless, I'd like to figure out why I couldn't get it to work right. Any ideas? One more question.... Do you know what the performance impacts of semaphores and critical sections are? I'm using quite a few of them and I'd like to make sure I'm not degrading performance if there might be a better way to do things. Thanks.
